Return to top1.What is the process of getting a web site done through Luna Web Design?

First, please contact me. After contacting me, we can schedule an initial meeting whether in person or over the phone depending upon your location and available time. The purpose of the initial is to determine what your wants and needs are for your website, who your target audience is, and design considerations

Return to top2. Do you do host your own web sites?

I personally don't host website but I do have several reseller accounts with various hosting companies. Hosting websites in house requires time and resources on my part so I prefer to allow another company to do what they do best and frees me up to service my clients. Depending on your needs will determine which hosting service you will be assigned to.

Return to top3. How long does it take to get a web site up and running?

Building a website does take time. I tend to break up the website into stages. The first being the designing of the website. The design process involves creating a mocked up design of the website in a graphics program. After your approval of the design the build stage comes next. The stage involves converting the graphic of your website into HTML code. Once the site is converted over, if your site requires it I begin doing the programming side. During the converting and programming stages your site will be available to you to view at anytime to see how the site is progressing. Once the site is completed and you are satisfied I will upload the site to the server that your site is hosted on.

All of this can take anywhere betweeen 2-8 weeks depending on the size of the site and the technical aspect of it. Typically, most sites will take between 3-4 weeks to complete.

Return to top4. What makes Luna Web Design different from other web design companies?

For me designing website is more than just a profession. I enjoy meeting new clients and learing about the different aspects each has to offer. Because of this I don't consider my clients to be clients but rather a new found friend. Beacuse I am a freelancer, I am the only person that you deal with in getting your website completed. This allows for the one on one approach. Unlike many businesses I am available 7 days a week and will typically take calls later in the evening to accomodate your schedule. Whenever possible, I can make edits to your website as we talk on the phone.

Return to top5.What is required by your clients to get a web site?

The first thing that I ask my clients to do is search the internet and find web sites that they like and the elements of the web sites that they would like to incorporate into their own web site. This helps me to visualize what you  would like your web site to look like. It is often hard to put into words how a person would like a web site to look, so this makes it easier for both me and you. If you prefer you can allow me total creative freedom to design the site for you too. I also ask that my clients provide the content for the web site either via a Word or PDF document and any images that they would like to use. For more ideas please visit the Pre-Design section of my website.

Return to top6. What do you charge for a web site?

As many web site companies will tell you, my pricing for a web site varies by the job. This is because each web site is unique and some require more work than others. Some web sites can cost as little as $200.00 and some can cost up to $2000.00. It all depends on what is required and the amount if time needed to build the web site. For a lesser fee my clients can choose to use a pre built template offered by many companies. This will save money in the design stage. I do ask that before choosing a template that my clients discuss this option with us as there are some differences in the templates offered by different companies. This could be either table based web sites, css based web site, and Flash animated web site. Each type has their own pros and cons associated with them.
